worked on as examples, with a wide range of other issues such as the personalisation
of care and the role of the third and private sectors all discussed on the day.

Service Models for Adult Social Care at the conference and look forward to contributing
to current thinking in this crucial area.
Government spending on social care increased by 46% between 2000/01 and 2007/08
and by 2026 it has been estimated that 1.7 million more adults will need care and
support*. Against this backdrop of rising costs and diminishing resources, there
has never been a more important time to join the debate on the future of social
