Sabrina Jethwa

Trainee Solicitor

Sabrina joined the team at The Projects Partnership in September 2005 and is keen to apply her legal skills and knowledge in the context of Public Private Partnerships and Private Finance Initiatives. Sabrina is responsible for undertaking research tasks on behalf of clients and drafting and amending legal documents and attending client meetings to assist directors and assistant solicitors where necessary.

Sabrina is currently assisting solicitors on the Lambeth Schools BSF project, a £200m procurement of new Local Education Partnerships.

She is also assisting on the Northamptonshire County Council property portfolio. The contract involves the transfer of the property to a private sector.

Sabrina provides advice on procurement issues, such as thresholds, the procurement regulations 2006 including the Competitive Dialogue Procedure, Frameworks Agreements and the Alcatel Standstill provisions.

In December 2005, Sabrina assisted with the completion of the largest schools partnership contract for Northamptonshire County Council. The contract is worth around £1 billion over its life and will bring in capital investment of over £200 million to 41 schools in Northampton.

In April 2006, Sabrina assisted with the completion of an innovative 35 year PPP project for the provision of student accommodation in the University sector. She is now assisting with ongoing contract negotiation, litigation and post completion issues in relation to operating student accommodation at Middlesex University.

In November 2006 Sabrina assisted in the closure of a £12million integrated healthcare campus project on the site of a former community hospital in Wiltshire, one of the first to be built following the Government’s Health White Paper.
