John Butler

Consultant - Senior Assistant Solicitor
John Butler provides support on all aspects
of real estate services.
John has over 25 years experience in the real estate investment and development fields. He
was formerly a partner of Jaques & Lewis and subsequently of Eversheds LLP
where he was Head of the Investment Sector Group.
John has substantial experience in acting for clients in both the private and public
sectors. Clients that he has acted for have include Electricity Supply Pension Scheme,
LRT Pension Fund, English Partnerships, London Development Agency, SEEDA, SWERDA,
Brighton and Hove Council, London Borough of Islington, Hammerson, Friends
Provident and Alecta.
He has worked on many development and regeneration projects, and
he has also acted on numerous
investment transactions, including limited partnerships,
for various institutions.
John was the lead development lawyer on the multi-award winning Brighton Library
PFI Scheme, which included a highly successful mixed used development that
led to the regeneration of a major city centre site.
John is a member of the Land Law Sub-Committee of the City of London Law Society
and has lectured and written articles on a wide variety of legal topics. |
