Trainee Solicitor
James joined the team at The Projects Partnership in 2006 and is keen to apply his skills and knowledge
in the context of Public Private Partnerships and Private Finance
Initiatives. He is responsible for undertaking research
tasks on behalf of clients and drafting and amending legal documents and attending
client meetings to assist directors and assistant solicitors where necessary.
James has been assisting with the addition of a school to the largest schools PFI
contract for Northamptonshire
County Council. He is also helping with the disposal of land which was left surplus after
the completion of the original partnership
contract. The capital value of the disposal is worth in excess of £100 million.
James has also been assisting one of the directors in advising on governance issues
for five Community Improvement Partnerships operating in a major city on the south
coast.
He has been assisting with the establishment of trusts to operate leisure facilities at South Northamptonshire, Maidstone, Redbridge and Market Harborough and preparing
the contract documentation to allow the new arrangements to operate.
James has also been helping with the re-arrangement of leisure provision which are
part of an existing outsourcing agreement due to the replacement and improvement of facilities.
He has also been helping a client on the acquisition of one of their supplies, thereby
securing the supply chain and improving commercial efficiencies. James has been
undertaking a wide variety of general legal support tasks to assist members
of the legal team across the firm.
James graduated from the College of Law in the early summer of 2006
having completed
the Legal Practice Course. James began the LPC after graduating from the University
of Durham with an LLB Law degree. |
