The Projects Partnership has been appointed by the New Deal for New Cross Gate partnership
to advise on the creation of new charitable successor bodies to take ownership of
programme assets, as well as to provide legal and commercial advice on the creation
of new neighbourhood resource centre in New Cross. The new centre will incorporate
primary care, childcare, retail and leisure services. New Deal for Communities (NDC)
programmes are major regeneration programmes supported by capital grants of £50
million or more from ODPM. They are run by a dedicated project team under the auspices
of an accountable local authority. They are required to put in place arrangements
to safeguard investments once the 10 year programme comes to an end.
